Google Analytics

Google Analytics for your Attorney Website

Google Analytics (http://google.com/analytics/) is a very popular, free tool provided by Google that can help your law firm measure the traffic you’re getting to your website. You can see how many people are coming to your site, where they’re coming from (direct, search, referral) and what search terms they’re using to find your law firm website.

You can learn more about what Google Analytics can do for your law firm’s website, or if you already have a Google Analytics account, you can configure the tracking code in your law firm website admin by logging in.

Enter Your Firm’s Google Analytics Tracking Code

Once you’ve logged in, click the My Account button at the top of the sidebar, and then expand the Google Analytics accordion. This is where you can enter your law firm’s website tracking code. You tracking code should look something like UA-123412341-5. Enter it into the field and click submit.

It may take a little time for your law firm website to start sending data to Google, but after an hour or two you should definitely be able to log in to Google and see that it is receiving data.
